The successful EPS entry detailed the significant energy optimising initiatives that have been implemented at the Dundalk and Drogheda wastewater treatment facilities. EPS currently operates these treatment plants on behalf of Louth County Council under a 20 year operate contract. The excellent work by the local team has led to a range of innovative plant optimisation and energy-reducing initiatives.
EPS was also shortlisted within the Outstanding Leadership in Energy Management Award category. Competing against EPS on the night will be:-

This award recognises individuals, teams or organisations in industry, public sector or community sector that have been instrumental in successfully motivating decision makers and energy users to support energy efficiency initiatives and deliver substantial benefits for at least 2 years prior to entry. The EPS entry for this award illustrated the company's efforts to differentiate ourselves from our peers through the promotion of energy initiatives in the private and public sectors. EPS has resources and systems in place to implement these initiatives, which are assisted through a partnership approach with organisations such as SEAI.
