Whilst we do not measure success exclusively by the number of awards we receive, we are delighted that EPS has been recognised over the years on a number of fronts, including the acknowledgement of its efforts across the fields of sustainability, business ethics and performance as well as innovation.
In 2014 and 2015 we received the internationally prestigious Ruban d’Honneur at the European Business Awards, in recognition of the Group’s Environmental and Corporate Sustainability strategy. In the 2013/2014, EPS was the National Champion for Ireland.
Awarded a Deloitte ‘Best Managed’ Company for 2017 in the Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards. It is our third year running achieving this status.
We were one of three finalists in the Large Firms category. The annual awards recognise the world class achievements of companies operating in Cork city and county.
We have had significant success in recent years, winning the Green Technology Award in 2016 and the Green Leader Award in 2014 as well as many nominations.
In 2016 we were finalists in the Innovation category and overall winner in 2015 for having co-ordinated several community outreach projects around the country. We are also proud to have been listed in 2013 for the Innovation & Environment category and in 2012 for the outstanding leadership category.
2011 we got an excellent rewards for the energy reduction campaign across the Group. We made the shortlist in two categories: Category C - Energy Efficiency Award (Major Users > €350,000 annual spend) and Category I - Sustainable Energy Innovation Award.
Safe T Certification
In 2011 we achieved the ultimate A Grade in Safe T certification by IOSH for health and safety. It is a certification scheme designed for certifying the Safety Management Systems of contractors working in the construction industry.
In 2011 we continued our drive towards near 100% scoring in its recent Health & Safety, Environment and Quality Audit carried out by Achilles.

Following the successful completion of the Southend-on-Sea scraper system replacement project, we were shortlisted for the award 2011 in the "Zero Incident - Zero Reworking" category.
